Lennis George
Lennis’ father was involved in a work-related accident in 2003 and suffered multiple injuries to his back and neck. Lennis obtained a Sociology degree from Georgia State University in 2019. He currently works in the field of safety for Apex Companies. Lennis gives back to Kids’ Chance by speaking at numerous Kids’ Chance events and helping in the organization of the Kids’ Chance Alumni Association.


Leslie Paige
Leslie’s father was involved in catastrophic work-related traffic accident in which he suffered a crush injury of the spine. Due to his disability and her mother’s death in 2012, Leslie resides with her aunt and uncle. Despite all of this, Leslie continues to excel in her studies at the University of Georgia where she is pursuing a degree in Wildlife Sciences.


Lorenzo Hernandez
In 2008, Lorenzo’s father fell from scaffolding at work and suffered multiple injuries.
Lorenzo has a 3.1 GPA and is pursuing an Anthropology degree at the Georgia State University.


Erin Frew
Erin’s mother was involved in serious work-related automobile accident in 2001 suffering multiple injuries.
Erin earned a 3.6 GPA last semester in her pursuit of a degree in Environmental Studies degree at Georgia State University.


John Farina
In 2006, John’s father suffered a catastrophic head injury when he fell 18 feet off his truck in a workplace accident. He broke nearly every bone in his face in the fall. His head injury has left him unable to walk or talk.
John is a student at the University of North Georgia. He will be graduating with a degree in Computer Science.


Olivia Barnes
In 2015, Olivia’s father was working as a utility employee when he was involved in a catastrophic work-related accident. His arm was caught in a malfunctioning sewage pump resulting in severe damage to his shoulder and the loss of several fingers.
Olivia is a student at East Tennessee State University pursuing a degree in Nursing. She maintains a 3.9 GPA while working and participating in extracurricular activities.


Taylor O'Quinn
Taylor O’ Quinn was only six years old when her father was fatally injured in a work-related accident. Taylor attended the University of Georgia where she studied accounting, maintaining a 3.5 GPA, and obtaining both a bachelor's and master's degree. She graduated in 2019 and is employed with an accounting firm in Jacksonville, Fl.
